InfoLinks Is Not Pay Per Click So How Does It Work?

Many People Believe InfoLinks is PPC – This Is Wrong

So how does InfoLinks work? InfoLinks has often been seen as a Google Adsense alternative or to be used along side of Adsense ad units. Just like Google Adsense and Chitika, Infolinks used to be Pay Per Ad Click before. Basically someone would hover over one of your infoLinks which opened the ads, and you would get paid if the ads were clicked.

InfoLinks is no longer Pay Per Click and information still spreading on the web today about InfoLinks still being Pay Per Click, is False. Infolinks now pays you per Ad views not per Ad clicks. Though, it isn’t that simple. After using InfoLinks for the past week I noticed Pay per ad view is not quite what it says.

In theory this should be great news! Going from the three step earning method with the old Infolinks system.

Old InfoLinks ads System = 3 steps to earn.

(1). Someone hovers over your infolinks.

(2). They hover long enough an ad appears(opens).

(3). They click on the ad and you get paid.

Compared to the much easier to earn method number two.

New InfoLinks system = 2 steps to earn.

(1). Someone hovers over your InfoLinks.

(2). If they hover long enough an ad appears(opens) and you get paid for the ad view.

Well, I have run Infolinks for around a week, and I can assure you that you do not get paid for all those ad views(or not very much).

Does InfoLinks Really Pay You For Ad Views?

From my own calculations Infolinks pays you using the Ad eCPM method.

So, if you had 500 ad views, and your Infolinks Ad eCPM(estimated cost per 1000 views) is for example $3.40, you would earn around $1.70.

Though, just like with ad clicks where there are many occasions where you DON’T get paid when someone clicks on your ads, with Infolinks Pay Per Ad view system, you also do not get paid every time someone views your Infolinks ads.

Or many of the ads may not be viewed long enough so they won’t register as an ad view!

I have noticed with Infolinks that the Ad views count is low, but on the positive side Infolinks seems to have a very decent Ad eCPM rate, which is what matters as far as earning is concerned. So there is the two edged sword of a very low ad view (rate per page views) against an average to high, Ad eCPM rate….

There are some very promising signs and I will be writing up a very in depth InfoLinks review, and I’ll try to give you a very accurate report on how well they are performing….

As I said I think I can see some potential with Infolinks, and if you use them along with your Adsense ads as a way to add a few extra dollars to your bank account, I believe they can work quite well.
